With Love

With Love

With Love is filled with a vulnerability that makes the album sound like a diary—the kind of thing you weren't supposed to hear, but ultimately can’t let go of. On “Sinner,” Phora sings over a backward vocal loop, his voice cracking as he recalls his family’s poverty and his fear that the devil lives inside him. “I Think I Love You,” meanwhile, sounds like a notebook page that he ripped out and nervously handed to his partner, his rapped vocals wavering across an airy beat.
